3DBODY.TECH 2021 was held with an hybrid format, taking place onsite in Lugano Switzerland, with additionally online content and online participants. Still the pandemic situation reduced the number of onsite attendees. The video of 3DBODY.TECH 2019 give an insight on how 3DBODY.TECH looked like on normal situations.

October 21, 2021 - 3DBODY.TECH 2021 successfully closed

3DBODY.TECH 2021 - The 12th International Conference and Exhibition on 3D Body Scanning and Processing Technologies was successfully closed in Lugano on the evening of 20th October 2021.

3DBODY.TECH 2021 - Lugano

About 200 participants from over 30 different countries attended the two days conference and exhibition. About 80 of them attended onsite in Lugano.

The program of the conference was structured, during two full days, in 1 opening session, 14 technical sessions in dual track, and 6 live demonstrations sessions, accommodating in total over 60 technical and scientific presentations, grouped according to various topics and application areas.

The conference confirmed also this year to be the most important international event focused on 3D body scanning & processing technologies.

Post-conference registration:

Post-conference registration allows to access the online conference platform with all its contents and functionalities for 30 days. Post-conference attendees will be listed as participants and will be able to contact/messaging other attendees through the online conference platform.

The program of the conference is structured, during two full days, in an opening session and 14 technical sessions in dual track, accommodating in total over 60 scientific and technical presentations, grouped according to various topics and application areas.

The parallel technical exhibition allows manufacturers, developers, institutions to demonstrate live 3D/4D body scanning systems, software solutions and applications to onsite and online attendees/visitors/participants.

In a third track on the online conference platform, exhibitors host live streams sessions from the onsite exhibition or from their HQs/offices, allowing to discuss and demonstrate live 3D/4D body scanning systems, software solutions and applications to online participants.

Breaks between the technical sessions and social events are planned in order to increase the possibilities for building relationships and exchanging ideas between attendees, speakers, authors and exhibitors.

3DBODY.TECH 2021 Onsite+Online

We confirm that 3DBODY.TECH 2021 will take place onsite in Lugano and will have a hybrid onsite+online format.

All technical sessions will be happening simultaneously onsite at the convention center and live-streamed on the online conference platform. Both onsite and online participants will be able to see the presentations live and interact with the onsite and online speakers.

The technical exhibition will takes place onsite in parallel to the conference. Onsite exhibitors will also have virtual booths on the online conference platform where they will be able to discuss directly with online participants.

In a dedicated track in the program, exhibitors will host live streams sessions from the onsite exhibition or from their HQs/offices, demonstrating live 3D/4D body scanning systems, software solutions and applications to all participants.

The online conference platform will allow all onsite and online participants to access all live streams, all recorded contents, all group discussions and to use tools for networking (messaging, live chat, video calls) with other onsite and online attendees, speakers, exhibitors.

New rules COVID-19

All travellers entering Switzerland (by plane, train, bus, car) must complete an entry form at the following link: swissplf.admin.ch/formular

To comply with the regulations introduced by the Swiss Government, a valid COVID-19 certificate (vaccination, test or recovery) is required to access the Lugano convention center and attend 3DBODY.TECH 2021 onsite.

Anyone who has been vaccinated with a vaccine approved by the European Medicines Agency and who is traveling to Switzerland will be able to obtain a Swiss COVID certificate with QR code. An electronic submission system will be available before 10 October. More details and links will be posted as soon as available.

September 9, 2021 - COVID-19 Certificate

To comply with the regulations introduced by the Swiss Government, a valid COVID-19 certificate (vaccination certificate or proof of a negative test or proof of recovery) is required to access the Lugano convention center and attend 3DBODY.TECH 2021 onsite.

The European certificates (EU Digital Covid Certificate) and the Swiss certificates (Covid certificate), with their QR code on mobile devices or on paper, are directly recognized by the scanners at the convention center. If you have another type of certificate, you will need the same documentation required by entering Switzerland.

Submission of abstracts is now closed. The received abstracts and presentation proposals are being evaluated and the preliminary conference program is being prepared.

The number of abstracts and presentation proposals received is within our expectations. The conference promises therefore to be a successful hybrid event (onsite & online) with a dense 2-days program, with 14 technical sessions with presentations covering relevant sectors of 3D body scanning and 3D body processing, as face and body scanning for medicine, body scanning for fashion and apparel, digital anthropometry and ergonomics, body size measurement campaigns, body scanning for health and sport, body modeling and avatars, machine learning and artificial intelligence, virtual draping and virtual try on, scanning with depth cameras and low cost sensors, scanning methods and technologies.

3DBODY.TECH 2021 will be held as hybrid event with conference and exhibition taking place onsite in Lugano and added online content. In-person onsite and/or remote online participation will be possible for attendees, speakers, exhibitors.

Authors wishing to present their works (personally onsite or remotely online) at the conference are invited to submit their extended abstract(s) until 30 April 2021. More details are available at: Authors.

November 18, 2020 - 3DBODY.TECH 2020 successfully closed

3DBODY.TECH 2020 - The 11th International Conference and Exhibition on 3D Body Scanning and Processing Technologies was successfully closed on the evening of 17th November 2020.

About 150 participants from over 30 different countries attended online the two days online conference and exhibition.

The program of the conference was structured, during two full days, in 12 technical sessions in dual track, accommodating in total about 50 scientific and technical presentations, grouped according to various topics and application areas.
In a third track, exhibitors hosted 7 live streaming sessions from their HQs/offices, allowing to discuss and demonstrate live 3D/4D body scanning systems, software solutions and applications.

The conference confirmed also this year to be the most important international event focused on 3D body scanning & processing technologies.

Proceedings:

The proceedings of the conference (ISBN 978-3-033-08209-0, doi:10.15221/20) are available in digital form (html structure, PDF files, presentation videos, entire sessions recordings) via FTP download / file sharing system.
The proceedings are organized as a website, with details of the technical sessions, and give access to all abstracts and to all published papers (as single PDF documents); the videos of the single presentations, the videos of the exhibitors' demonstrations and the recordings of the entire sessions are also included in the proceedings.
